February is American Heart Awareness Month. On February 3rd, it’s National Wear Red Day to raise awareness about women and heart disease. Only fitting, this month Kramer Beverage has made Go Red for Women the charity of the month.
Go Red for Women is an initiative created by the American Heart Association to encourage women to take charge of their health. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), over 600,000 people die of heart disease every year in the US. It’s the number one killer of women. Go Red for Women’s goal is to save lives by educating women on the dangers of heart disease and what action they need to take to reduce personal risk. Today, almost 300 fewer people die from heart disease and stroke. Every year on the first Friday of February, everyone is asked to wear red clothes or accessories to raise awareness about women’s heart health for National Wear Red Day. The Kramer Beverage team donated $421. Their donation was matched for a total $842 to be donated to better raise awareness of heart disease and stroke in women. Each month, the company will support a different charity. We’re 100% committed to giving back and making sure our employees have the platform to do so as well.
In March, Kramer Beverage will support the Atlantic City Rescue Mission.
